Youths of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna state have held a protest demanding for the immediate resignation of their National chairman Senator Iyorchia Ayu.
Nearly a hundred of them on Saturday held placards, some of which had ‘Ayu-must-Go‘ inscriptions as the sang and marched to the state secretariat of the PDP in Kaduna.
Shehu Isah, the protesters spokesperson explained that their call for Senator Ayu’s resignation is in the interest of peace, equity, and fairness to southern members of the Party.
He also expressed fear that the National Chairman’s refusal to immediately resign may jeopardize the leading opposition party’s chances in the 2023 general elections.
