Troops of Operation Forest Sanity have rescued seven people who were kidnapped by bandits in Birnin Gwari and Chikun local government areas of Kaduna State.
The Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan on Tuesday revealed that the victims were rescued during a military operation around Birnin Gwari, Gayam, Kuriga and Manini axis.
According to him, the troops overpowered in the terrorists in a fire exchange, forcing them to abandon their captives and flee.
Among the rescued victims are children below the age of 10.
