The leadership of the House of Representatives is in a closed door meeting with university teachers and the Ministry of Education.
The Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, urged both parties to shift ground for effective resolution of issues surrounding the seven month old strike.
The Minister of State for Education, Goodluck Opiah, appreciated the efforts of the parliament at resolving the impasse.
On his part, ASUU President, Emmanuel Osodeke, urged the government to address the issues and not see the industrial action as the problem.
