Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman and one-time Yobe State gubernatorial aspirant Abba Gana Tata has resigned from the party.
This was contained in a letter signed by Tata and addressed to the state PDP’s Massaba Ward.
The letter reads in part, “This is to notify you that I have resigned my membership from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) effective from Tuesday the 13th day of September 2022.
“Attached herewith is my membership card No. 1533599.
“While thanking you and the party, accept my best wishes”.
Abba Gana Tata did not give specific reasons for leaving the party.
Copies of the resignation letter were also sent to the Bursari Local Government chairman as well as the state chairman of the party.
