Zamfara State Government says it will continue give attention to the health sector as part of it’s Commitment to deliver quality healthcare to all citizens
The Government also says it has constructed one hundred and forty seven primary Healthcare Centres across the fourteen Local Government areas of the state
One hundred and forty Seven tricycle Ambulances were also purchased to assist patients especially in hard to reach areas
Governor Bello Matawalle stated this at the official Launching of Completed Primary Healthcare Facilities and distribution of trycle Ambulances to each of the PHC held at Sabon Gida PHC, Kwatarkwashi
Represented by his deputy Sen. Hassan Nasiha, the Governor Said his administration has sponsored four Hundred and twenty students studying in various health related courses within and outside the state
This he said will add value to the existing health personnel in the state for quality healthcare Delivery.
The Governor enjoin Local Government sole administrators, Village heads, Healthcare workers and residents to be vigilant and security conscious against vandals and saboteurs
The state Primary Health Care Board are also charged to monitor the facilities is is aimed at assisting the sick especially masses at the grassroots.
On his part, the state commissioner for local Government Affairs, Abubakar Dambo said the Matawalle’s administration has shown it has the Masses at heart and has delivered dividends of Democracy to it’s citizens
“Construction of these facilities at strategic locations across the 147 wards in the state and provision of 147 tricycle ambulances by the present administration is as a result of the sympathetic nature of Governor Bello Matawalle to the masses” Dambo Said.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary Zamfara State Primary Health Care Board Dr, Isma’il Tukur Thanked the state government for it’s efforts in providing health care services to the door steps of the masses
He noted that the present administration has remained focus in the area of Health adding that all issues relating to health have been addressed by the Government
Ambulances according to Dr. Tukur were equally distributed to state owned Secondary facilities with a view to enhance provision of quality health care delivery
He says the synergy between the primary healthcare Board and other partners in the area of Health is highly Commendable.
The Zamfara State Primary Healthcare Board has been active in ensuring quality healthcare delivery to all Communities
and has also brought rapid development in the Health sector of the state.
