The Federal Government has again set up a 14-man committee to look into grey areas of the Academic Staff Union of Universities’, ASUU, demands.
The director, of Press and Public relations of the Ministry of Education, Ben Goong,
disclosed this at the end of the meeting between the minister of Education, Vice Chancellors and Pro-Chancellors of Nigerian public universities in Abuja.
Mr Goong said in a few days, the committee would conclude and thereafter meet with President Buhari on its outcome.
The grey areas include No Work no pay and Salary increment.
The committee is made up of four Pro-Chancellors, five Vice-chancellors and two heads of government agencies.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, have been on strike for over 6 months to press home demands for better condition of service and Funding of the University system in Nigeria.
