The Nigerian Army says it is looking inward to improve its operational efficiency through its Training and Doctrine Command.
The Training and Doctrine Command through a Forum in Abuja will address identified gaps in the army’s training institutions.
The Training and Doctrine Command which is a research-oriented formation in the Nigerian Army, is charged with doctrinal training and combat development, as well as supervising training centers.
It also serves as a senior think-tank in Nigeria for the Army and Other Security Agencies.
In proffering solutions to security challenges in the country, the Command has identified gaps in its research and development drive.
The Army says the training for Officers in Abuja is meant to plug the gaps.
Operation techniques, logistics procedures, equipment modification, training curricula, methodologies and techniques are among the subjects that will be explored by participants at the Training Programme.
The security challenges facing the nation has constantly placed a demand on security agencies to continually develop means of improving their operations.
